The Sky Hotel in the Cape Town city centre has opened the new SKY-HI ride on their roof. Yes, that's right, the ride is on top of a 28 storey building. SKY-HI ride is the first of its kind in Africa and one of only three in the WORLD! The ride is 35 metres above the city streets giving you a great birdseye view of our spectacular city. While going up, if you're not too terrified, try taking in the amazing views. When you hit the top of the ride you can look around and wait apprehensively. Suddenly you fall, reaching speeds of up to 100kms per hour. It truly is an incredible experience and a new and exciting way to experience Cape Towns beauty.
Bookings are essential as the ride is limited to 10 seats per ride. You can purchase a spectator ticket for just R50 and ride tickets for R250. As the ride is outdoor, it is weather permitting so it's a good idea to check the weather before booking to avoid your ride being cancelled. A video of your experience can be purchased afterwards for R100. Book your tickets here.
If you aren't a fan of the ride itself, which we really do suggest trying, you can watch your friends and family from the viewing deck and take some amazing images of Table Mountain and the ride.
