The driver behind our vehicle was furious and decided to take a photo and post it on the internet. The photo went viral and we quickly heard about it via Twitter and via friends of the company. We were appalled to hear of the behaviour of our staff member and quickly set about a disciplinary action.   We also decided to donate R10,000 to Volunteer Fire Services as a show of good faith. The employee in question insists that he threw bubblegum out of the car (totally unacceptable as well). He did also volunteer to spend the whole of yesterday evening helping out the fire fighters in Tokai.  We are a company that loves Cape Town, loves nature and does our best to help our guests experience the very best that Cape Town has to offer. We condemn anyone throwing anything from a vehicle window, lit cigarette, bubblegum or anything else. We hope our donation goes some way to help support the fire fighters who are giving so much time & sweat to the cause, and well do whatever we can to educate our staff and visitors about the dangers of wildfires. Thank you all for your concern.       [< Previous Post](https://blog.nox.capetown/blog/top-sundowner-spots-cape-town) [Next Post >](https://blog.nox.capetown/blog/finest-self-catering-accommodation-cape-town) Recent posts [Why Winter Is Actually a Great Time to Visit Cape Town](https://blog.nox.capetown/blog/why-winter-is-actually-a-great-time-to-visit-cape-town) [Cape Town Wine Farms with the Cosiest Tastings](https://blog.nox.capetown/blog/cape-town-wine-farms-with-the-cosiest-tastings) [Best Bakeries in Cape Town for a Rainy Morning](https://blog.nox.capetown/blog/best-bakeries-in-cape-town-for-a-rainy-morning) [What's On in Cape Town in July 2026](https://blog.nox.capetown/blog/whats-on-in-cape-town-in-july-2026) [Where to See Snow Near Cape Town: A Guide to Matroosberg and Beyond](https://blog.nox.capetown/blog/where-to-see-snow-near-cape-town-a-guide-to-matroosberg-and-beyond) ### Subscribe to blog [![NOX. rent. buy. manage. sell](https://blog.nox.capetown/hs-fs/hubfs/rent.%20buy.%20manage.%20sell-2.png?width=205&height=115&name=rent.%20buy.%20manage.%20sell-2.png "NOX. rent. buy. manage. sell")](https://nox.capetown/) #### Quick Links --- [Property Management](https://noxmanagement.co.za/?__hstc=2313647.43a2b64962d5b73d0b5aec151d98d567.1757947230699.1757947230699.1757947230699.1&__hssc=2313647.1.1757947230699&__hsfp=3975824757) [Property Sales](https://www.noxproperty.co.za/?__hstc=2313647.43a2b64962d5b73d0b5aec151d98d567.1757947230699.1757947230699.1757947230699.1&__hssc=2313647.1.1757947230699&__hsfp=3975824757) [Holiday Rentals](https://www.noxrentals.com/?__hstc=2313647.43a2b64962d5b73d0b5aec151d98d567.1757947230699.1757947230699.1757947230699.1&__hssc=2313647.1.1757947230699&__hsfp=3975824757) [About Nox](https://nox.capetown/about/) [Terms of Use](https://nox.capetown/terms-of-use/) [Privacy Policy](https://www.noxrentals.com/privacy-policy?__hstc=2313647.43a2b64962d5b73d0b5aec151d98d567.1757947230699.1757947230699.1757947230699.1&__hssc=2313647.1.1757947230699&__hsfp=3975824757) #### Contact Us --- Nox Cape Town 1st Floor, 13 Totnes Avenue Camps Bay, Cape Town, 8005 +27 21 201 1217 [info@nox.capetown](mailto:info@nox.capetown) [Follow us on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/noxcapetown) [Follow us on Facebook](https://za.pinterest.com/noxcapetown/) [Follow us on X](https://www.youtube.com/@noxcapetown570) [Follow us on LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/) [Follow us on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/noxcapetown/) [Follow us on Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/noxcapetown) [Follow us on Facebook](https://za.pinterest.com/noxcapetown/) [Follow us on X](https://www.youtube.com/@noxcapetown570) [Follow us on LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/) [Follow us on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/noxcapetown/) #### Sign up to our Blog --- Copyright © Nox 2026 All rights reserved.
