Silo Concerts 2025 – Jazz Sundown

Cape Town’s summer soundtrack officially begins with the return of the Silo Concerts at the V&A Waterfront. These free open-air evenings are a city favourite with locals and visitors gathering under the night sky, surrounded by the glow of the Zeitz MOCAA.

The opening night on 7 November (7 PM) features the award-winning pianist Thembi Dunjana, seven-piece Afro-jazz collective Kujenga, and rising star Giuliette Price. Expect rhythm, soul, and a crowd that reminds you why Cape Town’s creative scene is second to none.

The Galileo Open Air Cinema

Few things feel more “Cape Town” than a picnic blanket, sunset skies, and a film under the stars. The Galileo Open Air Cinema is back at some of the city’s most scenic venues, showing everything from Top Gun and Grease to The Hunger Games and The Greatest Showman.

Streetopia

On 29 November, the streets of Observatory transform into a kaleidoscope of art, music, performances, and community spirit. There are no big stages or sponsors here — just spontaneous creativity, from mutant vehicles to live art and open-air dance floors.

Red Bull Flugtag

After more than a decade, Red Bull Flugtag finally returns to Cape Town! On 2 November, the V&A Waterfront becomes a stage for brave (and slightly mad) teams launching homemade flying machines into the harbour. It’s not about precision — it’s about fun, flair, and how spectacularly you fall. Expect food stalls, music, and plenty of laughs.

Red Bull King of the Air

One of Cape Town’s most iconic sporting events, Red Bull King of the Air, is back for its 13th edition. From 22 November to 7 December, the world’s best kiteboarders will battle fierce winds and waves at Kite Beach, Blouberg. Dates and times depend on the weather,  so keep an eye on conditions and head out when the flags go up.
